The Mobile Legends World Cup will be held in Indonesia for the first time
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship (M4) will be held in Jakarta, from January 1 to 15, 2023.
There will be 16 international teams vying for the prestigious championship title and a lion’s share of USD 800,000.
Indonesia’s esports landscape has grown exponentially over the last few years.
The local Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL Indonesia) hit a peak-concurrent viewership of 2.8 million during Season 9 and was the first esports league to implement the franchise system in the country, with the highest local prize pool of USD 300,000.
From MPL Indonesia to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League (MDL), both the professional and amateur leagues have produced more than 300 local MLBB professional players and talents.
Blacklist International of the Philippines is the defending world champions.
Also set to participate are teams from Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, the Middle East, Myanmar, Turkey, North America, Brazil, and the Mekong region.
Esports and gaming fans can expect an array of in-game activities and on-ground campaigns for the M4 World Championship in Jakarta.
